There were several possible reasons for the distribution of car accidents. First, weather might have played an important role. Two peaks occurred in spring and summer, the two seasons which had most of the year’s rain. Driving tends to be more dangerous in rainy days. Second, people might have been alerted by the high number of accidents in March and Au-gust, hence less and less accidents in later months.
